各位留学生:
为进一步推进广东省高等教育国际化,加快发展广东省来华留学工作,广东省从2013年起以省政府名义设立广东省政府来粤留学生奖学金。根据《广东省政府来粤留学生奖学金管理暂行办法》的有关规定和要求,本年度奖学金的评审工作业已展开,现将有关事项通知如下,请全体留学生认真阅读,并在截止时间之前及时提交申请:
In order to promote the internalization of Guangdong High Education, advancing the development of overseas students’ management, the government decided to set up scholarship for international students studying in universities of Guangdong. The relevant requirements of application are hereby notified as follows.
一、奖励标准:
本科生:人民币10000元
硕士生:人民币20000元
博士生:人民币30000元
Amount :¥10000 for graduate student
¥20000 for postgraduate student
¥30000 for doctoral student
二、评选对象:
(一)在校生
2015年9月以后入学的学生,(2016年7月毕业的学生不在申请范围内)
(二)拟入学新生
三、在校生评选条件:
(一)广州大学全日制外国留学生;拟入学新生;成绩优异,遵守校规校纪;
(二)具有HSK4级及以上证书,(用英语授课的专业、博士生可适当放宽条件);
(三)本科生年龄在30周岁以下,硕士研究生年龄在35周岁以下,博士生40岁以下;
(四)在校期间已享受或正在享受中国政府(及)其他各类奖学金的外国留学生不再享受此项奖励。
Eligibility for application
The applicant must satisfy following conditions:
1.Full-time undergraduate students of Guangzhou University(not includes senior)and new students who are to study in GZU. (undergraduate students under the age of 30, postgraduate students under the age of 35, doctoral students under the age of 40).
2. Passed in all compulsory subjects and no disciplinary records in the past
academic years. Follow the school regulations and Chinese law.
3. With HSK 4 or higher level certificate. (except for students studying in English-taught programs and doctoral students).
4. Have not awarded any other government scholarship during this academic year.
四、申请方式:
(一)所需材料:
1、《广东省政府来粤留学生奖学金申请表》
2、在校生提供2015-2016学年成绩单(必须为学校教务处打印盖章版)拟入学本科新生还需提供所毕业高级中学的校长和一名教师的推荐信,高级中学生以上学历者需提供原毕业学校2名教授或者副教授的推荐信,及经毕业学校确认的成绩单;拟入学硕士及博士研究生需提供原毕业院校2名教授或副教授的推荐信及经所毕业大学确认的成绩单。
3、感言一篇(要求见备注)
请将以上材料分别整理为电子版与纸质版各一份(电子版装入一个文件夹中,以姓名+学号命名),纸质版请勿使用订书机装订,并于截止日期前上交。

备注:感言要求
(1)文章需为原创,能反映进入大学以来的成长历程及心态变化,如刚进入校园的感受,通过与老师、同学的相处,到慢慢适应新环境,参加校园文化活动、公益志愿者活动、校内外比赛、获得奖项、奖学金情况,想对母校、老师、同学、师弟师妹说的话等内容均可。要求主题鲜明、内容积极向上、语言生动自然。
(2)每篇不少于1000字。
The necessary documents for application include (do not use stapler):
1. Application Form of Guangdong Government Outstanding International Student Scholarship, identification photo is required to be pasted on the form;
2.GZU students: transcript with grades of 2015-2016 academic year (original document from Academic Affairs Department of Guangzhou University with official stamp);
New coming undergraduate students: 2 recommendation letters from the schoolmaster and a teacher if you are just graduated from Senior high school. 2 recommendation letter from 2 professors or associate professors if you are already graduated from another college or university. Transcript with grades of your previous academic period. (original document from Academic Affairs Department of your graduated school with official stamp);
3. Essay originally created by applicant, around 1000 words. The essay could be involved feelings or experiences of living inChina, learning in GZU, participating campus activities, making new friends or future study plan, etc.
Deadline:Please submitapplication form(both original and electronic versions), essay(only electronic version) and recommendation lettersbeforeJune 10thto your counselor assistant that is responsible for the scholarship, and hand theoriginal transcriptof 2015-2016 academic year in beforeSeptember 2nd, overdue is inadmissible.
Ps: Application form and essay are required to be filled in with electronic format, please putting all of electronic documents into a file named after “applicant’s name+student number), after finishing the application form please print it out and hand it in with other necessary documents. Handwriting form will be not allowed to submit.
Notice: Student Affairs Department will submit recommendation list of candidates (the number will be more than 10% of applicants who are allowed to be awarded) to Department of Education and Department of Finance of Guangdong Province. The Awarding List of scholarship will be ultimately confirmed by the above departments.
