Lecturer in Chinese
Qingyan Zhou is a Lecturer in Chinese. Serving the International Education School since 2009, Qingyan Zhou has taught Chinese at all levels to include the MTCSOL Master's program.
Qingyan Zhou specializes in modern Chinese grammar and applied linguistics. Her research interests include cognitive linguistics, functional linguistics, syntax and semantics, linguistic typology and teaching Chinese as a second language. She is the author of multiple articles published in leading academic journals to include Chinese teaching in the world, language teaching and linguistic studies, and Chinese language learning related to the field of linguistics and applied linguistics. This work particularly includes cognitive linguistics and teaching Chinese as a second language. She is also the author of a Chinese grammar book.
Qingyan Zhou received her Ph.D. from Beijing Language and Culture University. She received her Master in Arts from Sun Yat-sen University. She is a member of the World Chinese Teaching Association, Guangdong Language Association, and Language Service Research Center of Guangzhou University.
