Guangzhou University (GZHU) signed agreements with Charles Darwin University (CDU) through a teleconference on May 18. The collaboration was ratified by President of Guangzhou University (GU) Professor Wei Minghai and CDU Vice-Chancellor Professor Simon Maddocks. GZHU Vice President Professor Guo Xingpeng, CDU Vice-Chancellor and Vice President Global Strategy & Advancement Andrew Everett–Deputy Andrew Everett–Deputy and responsible persons from competent departments attended the signing ceremony.

Following the ceremony, the two sides discussed about and reached initial consensus on collaboration in Engineering and Material Sciences, Computer and Data Sciences, research on Humanities and Regional Cultures, as well as building joint research platforms and teacher and student exchanges.
