Our dear international students,

At the critical time of epidemic prevention and control, we would first liketoextendourgratitude to all international students who havesupported our endeavor in combating the novel coronavirus-infected pneumonia.

The situation of epidemic prevention and control remains severe, whereas false and unverified information are commonly seen on various social medias. We therefore strongly suggest you follow the official information instead of rumors. Please remain calm, while refrain from trustingorspreadingmisleadinginformation.Wealso advise you to frequently wash your hands and open the window for ventilation, stop any gathering, reduce outdoor activities, and wear masks. It is essential to voluntarily accept body temperature checks for your own healthand follow quarantine advices given byprofessional institutions and personnels. Should there beany problem, please turnto international student affair office for help. Our office now is 24 hours online for our international students.

Our new semester will be postponed AT LEAST to after February 24. As for the exact beginning date, wewill immediately notify you as soon as a final date is set. You are free to return back to campus only when the beginning date is finally announced. We do not recommend you return to our campus before that date(the final opening date)no matter where are you.And at this stage, the University has ready closed our dormitory (no water and electricity are offered) except for those who were in the campus already. Should you insist on returning before February 24, 2020 due to special reasons, pleasecontact International Student Affair Office and your department office at least 3 days in advance. Return back to school applications should be handed in and get approved by related office and department. If you come back before the set date without approval, related punishment will be given by the school. Please DO PAY ATTENTION TO THIS NEW REGULATION!We believe these efforts are best for your safety and the success of our campaignagainst this virus.

And we have found these days, we still have students travel through friend’s home to the dormitory which is not what we expected due to this severe time. Please do understand that each outdoor activity means a risk to get infected. We appeal all of international students respect our chance of being healthy as well as respect the other students’ right being healthy.

At last we would like to recommend our students dine with your own plates,spoons or chopsticks, and not eating together.
